Get to Know American Indian Modular Construction

American Indian Modular Construction: Founding member Adam Geisler has been involved in Native American housing challenges for over 15 years and saw that few contractors understood the needs of reservation housing, as many homes provided were of inferior quality. Adam realized that a Native American Indian General Contractor would be better positioned to understand the financial constraints of building on Reservations as well as the features that would make for a quality home for members. Adam has joined forces in 2013 with industry leader USModular, Inc. to create a General Contracting Company that has over 70 years combined experience in building quality Manufactured Homes, Modular Homes and Prefabricated Buildings....

The New Manufactured Home

Modular Construction is a method of construction, not a building type. It greatly differs from temporary buildings, such as construction trailers or mobile homes. These are custom-designed commercial buildings just like their site-built counterparts. Using modular does not change the design, structural system, or finish materials options available to the owner and architect. The only difference is in the method of construction. After the design is finalized with an architect, construction plans are sent to a factory where the majority of the building is erected. Development team then uses prefabricated elements for as many building components as possible. Everything from walls and mechanical systems to painting and carpet can...

Building Trend Moves Towards Modular Construction

Posted by on Jul 27, 2015 in Blog | 0 comments

The Modular Construction Trend continues to increase in popularity for many construction professionals. It involves building important sections of a  structure off-site, usually in a factory-style setting, then assembling those pre-made “modules” on site to create a fully functional structure. There are several benefits of modular construction for both client and contractor, including: Increased availability:  Construction companies are increasingly turning to the modular construction trend for some part of their projects. Some 35 percent of construction companies are incorporating prefabrication into building design, according to information from the management construction firm FMI, cited by reporter Adam Groff on the Construction Global website. FMI also noted 40 percent of firms...

The entire project was a dream come true. The customer service was excellent. Bill Cavanaugh, Adam Geisler and the team at American Indian Modular Construction took great care in helping us achieve our vision. I highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to build a modular or manufactured home. My hat goes off to the entire team. Thank you!

American Indian Modular Construction (AIMC) builds Manufactured Homes, Modular Homes and Steel Buildings.

Manufactured Homes: A manufactured home (formerly known as a mobile home) is built to the Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standards (HUD Code) and displays a red certification label on the exterior of each transportable section. Manufactured homes are built in the controlled environment of a manufacturing plant and are transported in one or more sections on a permanent chassis.

Modular Homes: Are constructed to the same State, Local or Regional Building Codes as site-built homes. Other types of systems-built homes include panelized wall systems, log homes, structural insulated panels, and insulated concrete forms.

Steel Frame Buildings: Are prefabricated structures that are good for large open space requirements like gymnasiums, barns and warehouses.

Why modular? QUALITY:

The quality of today’s modular home is often unparalleled, due to several factors: Today’s factory equipment is powerful and state-of-the-art, producing a tight, sound and energy efficient home. The materials need to meet a consistently high standard because of the finely calibrated equipment being used in factory. Your home is created in a climate-controlled environment, where the materials are protected from the ravaging effects of weather. The consistency of an overseen, assembly-line process also leaves little room for mistakes or oversights.

Modern modular homes are designed with the customer’s dream house in mind. From a cozy bungalow to a stately Victorian, your new home is made to order, giving you more creative control than working with most builders and contractors. Inside and out, this is your home, designed to match your vision.

One of the best points of building modular is the fact that your dream home can be delivered, set and completed in a very short time span. This is considerably less time than most onsite homes, where weather concerns, small or inconsistent construction crews, back orders and equipment problems are just a few of the reasons for delay. American Indian Modular Construction is a Native American General Contractor specializing in providing quality housing for Native Americans via Manufactured and Modular construction.
